About

Headquartered in Austin TX, A Few Screws Loose is an independent community-driven game developer originally started by HollowPoint Productions and The Mourning After. Founded in 1999, the team has created several well received Counter-Strike maps, and served its public on a cluster of Austin based servers. In 2002 AFSL delivered projects using the Serious Sam Engine. Seriously Warped Deathmatch (SWDM) a modification for Serious Sam, was one of the first mods to be released into the community. AFSL then revised Seriously Warped Deathmatch for inclusion in Serious Sam: The Second Encounter.

Together with the publishing efforts of God Games, SWDM has been released on two demo CDs, one in the 2001 July publication of PC Gamer and in Best Buy Preorder of Max Payne. Most recently AFSL's focus has been in development of their own engine (Screw'd Engine) and in October 2005 they released their first full game: Battle Carry.
