ACES Game Studio

Description

ACES Game Studio was a development division of Microsoft Game Studios tasked with developing simulation games, primarily the Microsoft Flight Simulator and Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator franchises.

In 2000, the studio won the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences award in the Computer Simulation Game of the Year category for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000: Professional Edition.

On 22 January 2009, the studio was closed by Microsoft amid a global financial crisis that caused them to lay off thousands of employees company-wide.
