Animotion, Inc.
About
Founded in 1981, Animotion, Inc. started out as an animation company that supplied animation, story and character development, backgrounds, sound production, and accompanying print materials to clients in the television and film industries.
In 1994, they branched out into video game production when Sierra hired them to animate the opening cinematic sequence as well as other work on King's Quest VII. That job led to work on game franchises that range from the educational (such as Reader Rabbit) to the adult oriented (such as Leisure Suit Larry.)
In more recent video games, Animotion, Inc. has animated the likes of Spongebob Squarepants, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dora the Explorer, The Power Puff Girls, The Fairly Odd Parents, and Scooby Doo, to name just a few.
Company founders David Hicock and Larry Royer are currently expanding Animotion, Inc. through the development of original IPs for video games and television programs.
The company is sometimes credited simply by the name "Animotion," such as for the games Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail!, Torin's Passage, and Roberta William's King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride.
