BEC Co., Ltd.

Description
BEC Co., Ltd. (株式会社ベック, Bandai Entertainment Company) was a developer and publisher established in December 1990 in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan as a joint venture between Human Entertainment and Bandai. Most of the initial development staff came from Human, and many employees were later recruited from Human's game design school, Human Creative School. After Human's bankruptcy in late 1999, BEC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bandai.
The company's primary business was as a development studio, operating multiple concurrent development lines through the 1990s and 2000s; it also managed much of Bandai's outsource development to other studios, and also occasionally published its own game titles through the 1990s under the Interbec brand.
The company was best known for developing many games based on the popular Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. In April 2011, the studio was merged into Banpresoft to form a new company, B.B.STUDIO.
