Blue Dojo Studios, based in Lawrence, Kansas, was created in 2000 by John Winn as a college business (Kansas University) primarily focused on web development. During that year the economy staggered and John Winn left the company. The new company leaders, Kent Bolton and Jim C. Nguyen, shifted the company aim from websites to games.
