Cartoon Mavericks, The

The Cartoon Mavericks was never a real company. It was just a subset of the internal development department of Domark, housed in a separate building of its own, away from the publishing arm of the company at that time. The development studio was called The Kremlin, although it was fully owned and salaried by Domark.

In order to distinguish themselves from the other teams within the Kremlin, a few like-minded artists (Jolyon Myers, Tony West, Jaid Mindang) and programmers invented the name "Cartoon Mavericks" as a reference to their love of true cartoon animation principles. As is often the case, they often worked together on one project after another, thus they felt a sort of mutual fealty beyond that of merely working for "the Kremlin".
