Collective, Inc., The

The Collective, Inc. was founded in early 1997 by a group of veteran game developers who had individually coded, designed and produced a vast and diverse range of highly acclaimed titles for a variety of different platforms. Located in Newport Beach, California, the co-founders were Douglas Hare, Gary Priest and Richard Hare.

In March 2005, The Collective, Inc. merged with Backbone Entertainment to form the new company Foundation 9 Entertainment.

In October 2007 Foundation 9 merged The Collective and Shiny Entertainment into one larger studio: Double Helix Games.
