Freedom Games Inc. was founded by Eric Young and John Davidson in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It consisted of many managers from TalonSoft and developers from Atomic Games. As the team has a background in war-themed strategy games, stretching back to Close Combat, the company has developed G.I. Combat: Episode 1 - Battle of Normandy and Eric Young's Squad Assault: West Front in the same genre.
The company was acquired by DAS Entertainment in December 2003.
