Gameloft KK
About
Gameloft KK was the Japanese office of Gameloft S.A., focused on development for mobile platforms. It was initially formed as Ludigames KK, an office of Ludigames S.A.. After the merger of Ludigames and Gameloft in October 2001 the office was liquidated during the fiscal year of 2002.
The company later resurfaced with the same name. It is now no longer responsible for development, but for the Japanese localization of Gameloft games.
Eventually the studio returned to game development, but it is not clear if this was as a continuation of the existing studio or as a new Tokyo studio. The new team released one game, Magna Memoria, in 2015. Around September 2015 it was reported the Tokyo office had been closed.
