Geodetic Services, Inc. was founded in October 1997 in Blaine, Washington, by Darryl Sharp.

The company was one of the first to take Global Positioning System (GPS) and Robotic technology onto golf courses to create maps with detail and accuracy.

Geodetic's services were used to map golf courses for incorporation into the PGA Golf games.
