Havok

About
Havok was formed in 1998 as an offshoot of an academic project being done in Trinity College Dublin. The original company name was Telekinesys Research Ltd - Havok was created soon after. Initially, Havok worked on physics simulation technology and brought it to the market as a middleware product also called Havok. Havok also became the physics behind the Reactor plugin for 3D Studio Max, and added products for Animation, AI, Cloth Destruction and Scripting.
Havok was purchased by Intel on 14 September 2007, from whom they were purchased by Microsoft on 2 October 2015.
