Jackbox Games was created in 2011 by Harry Gottlieb and Mike Bilder, by spinning off from Jellyvision Games. The company is located in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

They took over the development and publishing of the You Don't Know Jack series, as well as developing new titles such as Fibbage, Quiplash, Lie Swatter, Word Puttz and The Jackbox Party Pack compilations.
