K. Amusement Leasing Co.

Description
K. Amusement Leasing Co. (ケイ・アミューズメントリース株式会社, KAC) was a company based in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan whose primary business was leasing amusement equipment and operating game centers, as well as financial lending services. Originally founded in 1972 as a food procurement company called Suzusei Shoji (鈴清商事), it took the KAC name in May 1983 when changing its business model. KAC entered the console games market in 1986, publishing home conversions of several SNK arcade games before later branching out into original titles; the company's final console release was the Super Famicom conversion of Art of Fighting in October 1993, after which they withdrew from the games market. Owing to the general economic downturn in Japan in the 90s, KAC's rental and lending businesses declined sharply during this period, and the company declared bankruptcy in February 1997.
