LightWeight is a game developer based in Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded on November 22nd, 1995 by Tetsuo Mizuno. Until 1998, Square had a 40% stake in the company. In 1999 Takashi Ueda became the company's CEO and director. LightWeight is best known for their action games set in historical time periods of Japan.
