Luxor
About
Luxor was Sweden's biggest TV and radio manufacturer. In the 70s, it released Fairchild's Channel F console as the Luxor VEC (Video Entertainment Computer).
In 1978, Luxor manufactured the ABC-80, an early personal computer based on a Z80 architecture. In 1981, the ABC-800 series was launched. Luxor dominated the Swedish computer market until 1983, when the IBM PC overtook it. Attempts to move into the UNIX niche with the ABC-1600 and ABC-9000 did not work out, and the computer division was sold to Nokia in 1986 and subsequently disbanded.
