M.C. Lothorien Ltd was founded in 1982. Commonly known as Lothorien, they were a developer and publisher of videogames based in the United Kingdom. Their head office was in Stockport, Cheshire.

Lothlorien made games for several 8-bit platforms including the ZX Spectrum, Dragon 32 and BBC Micro.

In their early years they were known for making wargames. The company was founded by Mike Cohen and Roger Lees who had both created games in that genre as a hobby and sold them privately. Cohen was the Managing Director and Lees was in charge of marketing. The company was joined in 1983 by Geoff Street who was their Technical Director. Street had previously been a programmer working for a bank.

At first their games were only available by mail order but they later were sold in stores. Later games included arcade action titles and adventures.
