Mastertronic Group Ltd.

Description
Mastertronic Group Ltd. was a UK game publishing company founded in 2003 by founder Frank Herman, together with Andy Payne and Garry Williams. It was meant as a re-formation of Mastertronic Ltd. which had been part of Virgin Interactive's UK branch since 1989.
In 2004, the company acquired Sold Out Sales & Marketing with its Sold Out Software label. In November 2005, the company was fully integrated into Mastertronic, as it was renamed to Mastertronic Games Ltd. and would be used as the distributor of not only its existing label, but the revived M.A.D. (Mastertronic Added Dimension) budget/re-release label as of 2005, and a PC Gamer Presents label in association with the games magazine publisher Future Publishing.
The Group also offered, through its wholly owned subsidiary The Producers Limited (also acquired in 2004) a service for physical product, from marketing through packaging and warehousing to retail and digital distribution. In addition, MAD 4 Games, a wireless channel for content delivery to mobile phones was established in Q1 2004.
In 2006, the Blast Entertainment subsidiary was launched in a joint venture with Disky Entertainment Group. It was exclusively aimed at the younger end of the kids' market, developing new content based on recognised family friendly licenses from movies, TV, classic characters and toys. In 2007, Just Flight, a worldwide flight simulation specialist, was acquired by the group along with its sublabel Just Trains.
In November 2015, the company went into administration. The Sold Out Software brand and staff would separate into a new company, Sold Out Sales and Marketing Limited (later Fireshine Games), but would pivot to indie game publishing.
