Nightdive Studios, LLC

Nightdive Studios is a company founded in 2012 as Night Dive Studios that specializes in obtaining rights for old games that are completely abandoned or were previously in licensing hell, and re-releasing them on modern distribution systems like Steam and GOG.com. If necessary, they update the games for compatibility purposes, with the prime example being System Shock: Enhanced Edition, or use their Kex engine to implement quality-of-life features, for example in Blood: Fresh Supply.

In 2019 the company was renamed Nightdive Studios.

On 15 May 2023, Atari announced the acquisition of the company.
