Philips P.O.V. Entertainment Group

About
The history of Philips P.O.V. Entertainment Group begins in the Cinemaware offices in the late 1980s. A core group of Cinemaware employees, comprising David Riordan and David Todd among others, banded together as Mass Media Inc. In turn, they were hired by Philips Media to form a production unit called Philips P.O.V. Entertainment Group in 1991.
Over a four year period, Philips P.O.V. created 11 award-winning titles for Philips Media, including Voyeur, Caesars World of Boxing, and Thunder in Paradise Interactive for Philips' CD-i platform.
Mass Media left Philips in 1995 to develop exclusively for Time Warner Interactive, was later acquired and shut down by THQ and still exists today as a privately held California corporation, designing and producing entertainment software.
