Renegade Software

About
When the Bitmap Brothers became more and more unhappy with the publishing deals with Mirrorsoft, they decided to took thing into their own hands. In 1990, Renegade Software was founded as a joint venture between Eric Matthews (one of The Bitmap Brothers member) and head of Rhythm King Records - Martin Heath. The company was established to publish Bitmap Brothers' games and also other material from independent developers.
The first title released under the Renegade label was Gods, soon followed by Sensible Soccer (Jon Hare's flagship game). In 1995 the company was bought out by Warner Interactive Entertainment. The label was used until 1997 when it was sold off to GT Interactive and Renegade name was never used again.
