Description

Wanadoo Edition, located in Paris, France, was created in September 2000 through the merger of the gaming companies index+, the multimedia publisher, and France Telecom Multimedia Edition, a game developer and subsidiary of Wanadoo, the main company.

When the announcement was made, the new company was to be lead by Bernard Tani, Chairman of the Board, Emmanuel Olivier (founder of index+) Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice Presidents Vincent Berlioz and Jean-Claude Xirau.

In September 2003, Wanadoo's game subsidiary was acquired by Microïds, while Wanadoo itself became a 12% shareholder of Microïds. The intellectual properties would transfer to Microïds, and the last game to bear the Wanadoo Edition logo was the 2004 Top Gear: RPM Tuning.
