Winking Entertainment Corporation

Winking (唯晶科技) is a Taiwanese game developer based in New Taipei City. The company started its existence as a development team called WindThunder (風雷), which was assembled in 1997 and immediately became part of the Taiwanese branch of TGL. During their time with TGL they worked on the Guardian Sword series.

On July 15, 2000 the team became an independent developer. They continued to focus on RPGs and produced two installments in the Heroine Anthem series.

On June 25, 2003 they changed their name to Winking. Since then they have been mainly working on online games, with their branches in Shanghai, Nanjing, and South Korea doing outsourcing jobs for other companies.
