2001 TetRize

Description

2001 TetRize is a Tetris game with 3D graphics. The rules are identical to typical Tetris games: arrange the falling blocks by moving and rotating them in mid-air, in order to fill in and erase entire rows. After every few erased rows the game progresses to the next level where the gameplay becomes faster.

In the earlier versions, there are three different play modes: Classic, Original and Crazy. The "Original" and "Crazy" modes add bonus blocks, i.e. "score" which gives bonus points and "clear all" which destroys blocks in the playing area; in the "Crazy" mode the gameplay is especially fast.

In later versions, the game instead offers "Color Blocks" and "Rotated Color Blocks" variants. In "Color Blocks" the pieces are vertical stacks of three tiles of various colors, and the player can change the order of the colors in the falling piece. Creating a horizontal line of three or more tiles of the same color removes the blocks from the playfield. In "Rotated Color Blocks" the rules are the same, but the pieces are horizontal in shape and the player has to create vertical lines. In all three modes, bonuses appear in mid-air throughout the game and can be grabbed by touching them with the falling pieces.
