500GP
Description
500GP is an arcade motorbike racing game. It succeeds the company's previous Suzuka 8 Hours titles, using 3D instead of 2D graphics and making use of the FIM Road Racing World Championship (later known as MotoGP) license. In accordance with this, it features three race courses: the Suzuka in Japan, Paul Richard in England, and Jerez in Spain. Three licensed motorbikes are playable - the YZR500 from Yamaha, NSR500 from Honda, and RGV500 from Suzuki. According to Namco, the deluxe and standard arcade cabinets the game is available in are the first to incorporate sensors of riders' positions on the bike, calculating wind resistance from this.
