8 Queens
Description
8 Queens is a set of chess based puzzles from Zillions Development. It's one of a series of puzzle and casual games that makes up their Zillions of Games package which, at version 2.0, consists of three hundred and seventy-five games.
In this collection the player is faced with five chess puzzles, they are;* 'The Six Queens' problem and The Eight Queens' problem: The queens must be placed so that no two are attacking each other
- 'The Sixteen Queens' problem: Place the queens so that no more than two are on any horizontal, vertical or diagonal line
- The Ten Maharajas problem: A Maharaja piece is a combination of a queen and a knight, they must be placed so that no two are attacking each other
- Maximal Knights: Place twenty four knights on the chessboard such that none is attacking the other. There is, apparently, only one arrangement where this is possible
All games are played via the mouse and solutions are provided. The game records the moves made, these can be printed if desired
