Abbey of Terror
Description
Abbey of Terror is a retro-style 2D platform game where the player controls a character resembling a monk. The goal is to collect all swords placed around the level and then enter a portal to complete it. Enemies such as bats and birds need to be avoided.
The character is controlled using the arrow keys. The Up key makes the hero jump, Left and Right move him around the level.
The character starts with five lives. When an enemy or a fire is touched, a life is lost and the character is moved to the starting location. There are bonus items: power-ups and a shield that makes the character immune to enemies for a short amount of time. There is a time limit represented by a sword that steadily decreases in size, next to the icons representing the number of lives on the left. There is no hard time limit however, it only affects only the bonus score received after completing the level.
