Abduct and Destroy
Description
Abduct and Destroy is a procedurally generated side-scrolling twin-stick shooter. As a lone attacking UFO you are sent to earth to capture humans, who however decide to make it difficult by fighting back. The game is an arcade-style game, with the goal of surviving for as long and possible and getting a high score.
Your UFO is equipped with a laser ray, that can be aimed in any direction, and a tractor beam. Humans must have their shield, depicted by a red color tint and a small meter above their head, with the laser before they can be abducted. Firing the laser costs some energy, but abducting humans replenishes some of it, and even random items from the scenery can be beamed up for a tiny boost. Hitting an enemy again after its shield is destroyed will simply kill it, without rewarding any energy.
