Agricultural Simulator 2011
Description
Agricultural Simulator 2011 is basically a variant of the Farming Simulator series: the player takes over a farm and tries to make a profit. Of course the first step to success is the gear: while the property is given at the start of the game (and can be expanded later), the player needs to buy licensed vehicles (tractors and harvesters) and seed from the market which is always available through a menu. The same is true with animals and feed when the player chooses to expand into breeding.
Since this is a job simulation, the steps to cultivate the farm are manual: the player needs to enter the vehicles and drive over the fields to do work like ploughing, fertilizing, seeding, harvesting, etc. Unfortunately a day is limited to the working hours (at least unless this is not ticked off in the options) and therefore the player can hire help when the farm grows too big for one person.
Various expanding options for vehicles and farm are available to buy through the market, including a gas tank so the player does not have to drive to the tank station every time fuel needs to be replenished. Instead of selling goods through the market, the player can take the time to drive to the factory or flour mill which may offer better prices. Not negotiable are the down times when vehicles need to be repaired after mishandling them.
