Air Assault Task Force
Description
Air Assault Task Force is a wargame that focuses on battles in which helicopters played a prominent role. The game is developed by U.S. military officers and accordingly strives for realism.
The game features four regions: training grounds in the USA, Battle of La Drang Valley in Vietnam, Mogadishu in Somalia and Operation Anaconda on the Afghan-Pakistani border.
The game is presented in a top-down satellite map view, where all information is shown in simple colored icons, much like they would be seen on the radar software used in the military. The player plays highest in command and can set waypoints and issue commands for all units.
