Alien

Alien is a clone of the game Space Invaders to which it looks and plays similarly. You are in control of a gun at the bottom of the screen, and move left and right, aiming and firing at rows of hostiles who are flying in formation, while you dodge their own projectiles. Each screen begins with a number of static barriers that offer some protection from enemy fire, but on the other hand act as an obstacle for your own shots. Eventually these barriers disintegrate by gunfire from both sides and leave an open area. If you manage to clear the screen from enemy units, the game repeats itself on a freshly populated screen, as you accumulate points. On regular intervals, a small flying object will soar across the top of the screen and if you manage to hit it with your laser, extra points will be awarded. If you survive and clear three screens, you win, but if you lose all three lives the game ends prematurely. In any case, the game will then display your score and a new session can be started.
