Apocalypse
Description
Robots have become sentient and have begun a campaign of extermination across the galaxy. Now calling themselves the Rakonan, it seems like humanity is doomed. The only defense is the Llanerk, a flying saucer driven by a black hole mechanism that makes it more powerful than the Rakonan's forces.
Apocalypse consists of nine planets, before each of which you are briefed on the forces each one has. Your objective is to go around, destroying any moving and non-moving targets along the way. Destroy enough and you can advance to the next planet. Don't destroy enough, and it doesn't matter if you lived, it is game over. Furthermore, the Llanerk has a limited supply of energy, with sources of new energy being mostly limited to highly mobile enemy flying saucers.
Apocalypse is one of the earliest first-person shooters to use mouse aiming.
