Archmage Rises

Archmage Rises is a complex, procedurally-generated RPG game that simulates the vast, free-form experience of creating a player's own, unique story found in tabletop experiences such as Dungeons & Dragons. In Archmage Rises the player manages their own character as they develop from birth & infancy to their eventual death either on their adventures or of natural causes in old age. The game features a complex series of interconnected systems, simulating everything from health, to relationships with individuals in towns or reputations across various locations. Every NPC in the game carries on their own life in the player's absence, so while the player adventures, about the world changes around the player. Every game world is uniquely generated at the beginning of a new save file and then progresses and develops on its own, leading to every play experience being different.

The majority of Archmage Rises takes place via interactions with different menus and UI elements, though when entering dungeons to explore, the game transfers to a first-person type view to progress through different rooms. The game also features a combat system in which the player can cast magic spells to attack different enemies they encounter or choose from a variety of other options.
