Armada

Game cover: Armada

Description

Armada is a surreal comedic action-adventure game. The player takes the role of a "slimebabe" in the middle of her quest to face her nemesis, Armada, a large spider-like woman who desires the corruption of the world.

The slimebabe can move, interact, and unleash a slimeblast, a slime attack that damages enemies in an area around her. Combat is real-time: Damaging enemies with the slimebast enough times kills them, whereas touching an enemy or their attacks decreases the slimebabe's health. Health is completely regenerated after a few seconds outside of combat. If the player dies, they respawn at the last tree stump they interacted with. Throughout the game, the player encounters patches of corruption, which increase the slimebabe's corruption level if touched, and purification pools, which decrease corruption.

There are three endings to the game: If the player faces Armada with less than 100% corruption, the first ending will trigger, in which the slimebabe is consumed by Armada. If the player faces Armada with 100% corruption, they become her handmaiden and gain the ability to corrupt the world with their slimeblasts, allowing the player to go out of bounds. They are then tasked to corrupt two AIs, after which the second ending will play. If the player finds seven hidden crystals, they can activate the third ending, in which they escape from the world and from the influence of Armada.
