Atma

Description
Atma is a free single player adventure game. It was designed to be used with a controller but can also be played with a keyboard/mouse combination.
The protagonist in the story is not Atma but his lover Shaya. Atma, Shaya and others are guardians of the world, protecting it and all its inhabitants from mischievous spirits ad so forth. Atma, against all advice, decides to perform a forbidden ritual to make himself more powerful, ostensibly so that he can do a better job as a guardian. This does not go down well with the God of Fate who oversees all guardians and Atma is banished to a place between this world and the next. However his actions have created an imbalance in the world and he contacts Shaya from his place in limbo asking her to retrieve his memory fragments and restore balance so that he can pass over.
The game is played from an isometric point of view, over what look to be hand drawn backgrounds. In her quest Shaya will encounter puzzles as well as facing obstacles and enemies. Most enemies and are dealt with by casting spells / mantras which usually involve selecting the correct spell and connecting a number of points within the spell window. There is no actual swordplay style combat.
The game has music but all conversations are by on-screen text. There is no voice acting.
