Backgammon Excellent

Game cover: Backgammon Excellent

Description

Backgammon Excellent is an improved version of Back Gammon. The thinking routine of the computer has now been strengthened. When playing against a computer you can select from four levels of computer strength. Two humans can also play against each other using the on-screen board. Before the game starts, your points and bet points will be displayed first, so you can determine how many points you want to bet. The points are displayed as STAKES. At the beginning, both players have 10,000 points. The objective of the game is to be the first player to move all his fifteen pieces off of the board. This involves moving the pieces in a set pattern according to the numbers on the two dice to win all the pieces. If the player gets a double number, that number can be used four times. The game continues until one of the players runs out of points.

Doubling (a rule unique to backgammon that doubles the betting points) is also possible, and players can choose whether to use the computer's random numbers or to roll the dice and input the numbers themselves.
