BasInvaders

BasInvaders is a version of Space Invaders, programmed in NextBASIC (hence the title). Like the arcade version, it features a wave of 55 alien craft which scroll from left to right and then down the screen, and you must destroy them all before they reach the bottom. A flying saucer occasionally scrolls across the top of the screen, giving bonus points if destroyed. You have 5 shields to hide behind but the aliens and you can damage them if hit. Unlike the arcade version, a depleted alien wave doesn't drastically speed up as it advances closer to you but does move slightly faster and increases the firing rate.
