Description
Battle Fantasia: Revised Edition is a fantasy-themed 2D fighting game featuring anime-inspired visuals and RPG-style combat mechanics. Originally developed by Arc System Works as an arcade title in 2007 and ported to consoles in 2008–2009, the Revised Edition was released for PC via Steam on July 7, 2015. This edition includes updated balance, enhanced visual effects, and the original soundtrack, offering both single-player and multiplayer fighting modes.
Gameplay retains the series’ signature mechanics: two-dimensional combat on a flat plane with three-dimensional character models, four attack buttons (two punches, two kicks) plus a unique "Gachi" parry button for timed counters, and a resource-based "heat-up" system that enables powerful super moves. Each character also features distinct health values and combo styles, encouraging strategic diversity. The PC version delivers sharper visuals, balance adjustments, extra camera angles for special attacks, and resolution enhancements over the console versions.
It boasts a cast of 12 uniquely designed characters with varied appearances from catgirls to skull-wielding dolls - each offering two narrative story paths with unlockable alternate costumes and artwork. Modes include Arcade, Story, Survival, Time Attack, Practice, Gallery, and ranked or player-versus-player online matches.
