Battle of the Bulge
Description
Battle of the Bulge is a 1 - 2 player wargame for the TRS-80 CoCo.
Based upon the World War II Battle from December 1944 - January 1945, the player controls either Allied troops against computer controlled Axis forces or a 2-player game pitting human controlled Axis and Allied forces against each other.
Played on a large scrolling map of the Ardennes, the player controls and moves their named units. Each unit has unique combat strength and moves per turn, and local terrain effects troop movements. Combat occurs by moving a unit onto a square occupied by an opponent. When a unit's strength reaches 0 it is eliminated. Map view provides an overview of the entire campaign and all troop locations. Intelligence view provides information on nearby units. Each turn constitutes 1 day of time.
The German objective is to move troops into Liège, Belgium by December 31st or destroy all Allied troops. Allied victory is dependent upon preventing this from happening.
