Battlefleet

Battlefleet is a Battleship variant with some changes made to the traditional formula. It is for one player only and focuses exclusively on offence with the player having no own fleet to worry about. The game uses text based graphics and is played on a 15x15 grid that contains three hidden enemy ships. The ships are all 2x6 squares in size and can appear in three shapes: horizontal, vertical and slanted up-right.

The player has a limited amount of shots and can fire six shots in each turn. The number of shots available depends on the level with 180 shots in the lowest level which decreases with six for each level. The main difference from traditional Battleship is that after each turn the game only tells the player the number of hits but not the actual position of the hits. A review option allows the player to see past shots in order. The game goes on until all ships have sunk or the player runs out of shots.
