Battleship

Battleship is loosely based on the board game of the same name. The player is presented with a 10x10 grid, concealing six ships: five of varying lengths (between one and five squares) and an aircraft carrier spanning seven squares. Each turn, the player designates three coordinates to target with missile strikes. The chosen and impacted squares are marked with the turn number. However, the positions of the ships are not directly represented by these markings. The objective is to sink all ships in the fewest turns possible.

In contrast to the board game, the ships may be placed diagonally and the player does not have a grid of their own.
