Description

Beat Angel Escalayer is an adult science fiction raising simulation game with visual novel elements. The story follows an ordinary high school student named Kyouhei Yanase who discovers that his childhood friend, Sayuka Kouenji, secretly lives a double life as a magical warrior girl called Escalayer who is the only one capable of saving Earth from an evil intergalactic empire named Die-Lust. Sayuka transforms into her combat form, Escalayer, to battle Die-Lust's forces with her advanced weaponry and abilities.

The gameplay of Beat Angel Escalayer combines simulation gameplay with visual novel-style storytelling. The aim of the game is to eliminate the threat of Die-Lust from the city by defeating enemies and powering up Escalayer through sex. The state of peace in the city is indicated by 'Peace Points'. Throughout the game, the player must make choices and engage in dialogue with various characters, both allies and enemies. These choices affect the story's direction and lead to multiple branching paths and endings.

The game progresses in increments of days, and each day is divided into several phases. The morning and afternoon phases contain an action phase where the player can search for enemies to fight or replenish Sayuka's energy. There are four main commands available in the action phase, though the player may only perform one action per phase. The commands are: Dokidoki H, a command to accumulate energy by having sex with Sayuka at the cost of libido; Rest, which recovers libido; Strengthening, which allows the player to use energy earned from sex to power up Escalayer; and Information, which allows the player to search for enemies for Escalayer to fight. On the Information screen, the 'Search For Enemies' command reveals invisible enemies and displays their status. Invisible enemies are indicated by a red marker and cannot be fought. The 'Eroge' command increases the player's maximum libido. The 'Service Activities' command increases the city's 'Peace Points', which indicate the state of peace in the city.

During the afternoon phase, the player may talk to Sayuka. The type of response chosen during conversations may affect Sayuka's characteristics and her relationship to the player. Special battle events may also occur in this phase.

In the combat phase, the player controls Escalayer as she fights enemies. The player can fight opponents represented by enemy markers which were discovered during the morning or afternoon action phases if the player decided to search for enemies then. Battles are turn-based and the player can decide to use a normal attack or special attack (skill), if applicable. If the enemy's HP reaches zero first, the player wins, but if Escalayer's shield value reaches zero, the player loses. If the player wins, peace points are recovered, while if the player loses, energy must be regained by having sex.

There is no particular action to take during nighttime except for evaluating the status of the city, though sometimes there may be special events at night. If there were enemies on the map that went undefeated, the city's peace points will decrease. If the city's peace points are allowed to decrease to 2 or less, Sayuka will decide that working with Kyouhei isn't enough to protect the city and will place herself under the control of the national guard, resulting in failure. The player has 35 days to defeat Dai-Lust and save the city.
