Beginner's Cave

Beginner's Cave is an unauthorized rewrite of the previously released 1979 Eamon adventure module for the Apple II.

The Warlord has set up a simple adventure in a cave south of the Main Hall for the purpose of giving new adventurers a chance to try out their skills. Inside the cave the player must contend with rats, a gorilla, a mimic, a pirate, and other traps and dangers.

The player is able to buy weapons, spells, and armor and go on their their adventure. Weapons come in five different types: Axe, Bow, Mace, Spear, and Sword. There are three types of armor: Leather, Chain, and Plate. There are also several spells: Blast, a damage spell; Power, which has random effects; Heal, which cures; and Speed, which increases chance to hit.
