BigJig
Description
BigJig is a jigsaw puzzle game, with convenience features for puzzles with large number of pieces. As of version 8.34, it allows for puzzles with as little as 16 pieces, or up to 2,016 pieces. Puzzle options include rotation, eight different puzzle piece shapes, and four options for the edges: no frame, edgeless (there are no edge pieces), plain frame (a border of the puzzle is shown), and shaped frame (as if all the edge pieces have already been placed).
Once the actual game starts, tools include two windows and four pockets for helping to sort pieces, as well as the ability to arrange pieces in a grid. The picture can be viewed as a thumbnail, and there is automatic and manual saving. There is also a magnifying glass that allows getting a better look at pieces.
BigJig is distributed as shareware. The shareware version comes with eight pictures, while the registered came with over 300. (These can be downloaded on-demand from inside the game.) Registered users also get access to a utility for creating new puzzles.
