Black Box and Gambit
Description
Black Box and Gambit are two strategy games for the BBC Micro.
-
Black Box: A 1–4 player game where 4–5 atoms are hidden within an 8 x 8 grid. Players take turns firing a ray into the grid and observing the exit point. When a player believes they have determined all atom positions, they can mark them on the screen. Once all players have marked their atoms, their true position is displayed and points are awarded.
-
Gambit: 1–4 player game on a 15 x 15 board. The goal is to move both characters to the center holding area from the far corner. Each turn, the player can position one barricade on the board that blocks opponent characters, but allows theirs to pass. The player rolls two dice, and their character can move in the cardinal directions, and must move the distance of one of the dice. The dice moves can be split between two characters or just one character. The first player to move both characters to safety is the winner.
