Blaster Master Zero
Description
Blaster Master Zero, a reboot of the game Blaster Master from 1988, is a retro-style metroidvania game with both platform and top-down shooter elements that try to emulate Turbo-Grafx 16 style of games. You play as Jason Frudnick who is trying to find his pet frog called Fred after he ran away into a tunnel. In there he finds a tank, SOPHIA III, and he goes to different areas to find his way through the depths of Earth.
The gameplay consists of 2 different ways to control the character. At the same time, in the tank, it is side-view perspectives and you can shoot enemy creatures that you come across with weapons you collect through exploration, and a top-down perspective when Jason is exploring inside the caves and uses his gun to deal damage.
In the course of the game the player finds different caves that give the player and the tank additional health point or new guns for SOPHIA III, and fight with mini bosses both in caves and outside that give the player new powers to help them move to a new area that was inaccessible before.
