Bobo 2: Secret of Crystal

Bobo and his friends live peacefully in the land of Crystal Country. After they fought off the invasion of the fire dragon and demon king in the previous game, everyone believed they were safe, but when enemies come to their door again they head out to save the day once more. In this hybrid beat-em-up/RPG, players control one of three characters with unique stats and playstyles - Bobo, Roro, and Pong. Like in other 2D beat-em-ups, players move horizontally through multiplane levels beating up waves of enemies. Each character has both a melee attack, usable as a three-hit combo, and a projectile attack; each character's attacks is balanced uniquely. Defeating enemies earns coins, which can be spent back at the town for new equipment; as in RPGs, these alter characters' stats, allowing players to customize their character's build. Players can also buy consumable items with a variety of effects.
