Bomber

Description

Bomber is a 1-player Macintosh simulation of a B-17 bombing mission over Europe during World War II. The game was originally released in black and white, but later upgraded for color devices.

The player takes on the roles of pilot, co-pilot, bomber, navigator, and gunner of the aircraft. During pilot control, the player controls the flight of their aircraft from a cockpit perspective. Under the bomber role, the player tries to visually find their designated targets from altitude and release bombs. When engaging with enemy aircraft, the player takes on the role of one of the six gunners on the aircraft. The navigator uses maps to plan their flight over Europe to reach targets.

Players gain promotions for successful missions, but crew members can be killed in combat. The goal is to survive a total of 25 missions to return safely to America.
