Break Through Bukulu

Break Through Bukulu is a Breakout variant. In this version, the seasoned player Bukulu seeks a new challenge, which is provided by the evil wizard Krixx. Krixx conjures 50 levels, threatening to destroy the world if Bukulu fails to complete them. The registered shareware version includes a level editor, allowing players to create and customize their own stages.

Each level's objective is to eliminate all regular blocks by striking them with a ball. The player controls Bukulu, who stands at the bottom of the screen and moves horizontally. Bukulu uses a board held above his head to bounce the ball back toward the blocks. A life is lost if the ball touches the ground. Unlike most games in the genre, ball trajectory is influenced by manually tilting the board left or right before impact.

In addition to standard blocks, several special block types have different properties:

• Steel blocks – Indestructible
• X-tra blocks – Grant an extra life
• Teleporter blocks – Transport the ball to another location
• Bomb blocks – Destroy multiple blocks simultaneously

Power-up blocks affect Bukulu’s abilities when hit:

• Super Break – Ball breaks through all blocks
• Break – Ball breaks through all but steel blocks
• Release – Allows launching a new ball and removing the current one
• Crazy Bounce – Ball bounces unpredictably
• Curve Ball – Ball moves unpredictably
• Normal – Restores standard ball behavior
