Bridge Man

Bridge Man is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.

This is it, your big opportunity. You've recently qualified as the youngest bridge builder in the country; and have just won your first major contract. The boss of a multi-national construction company has sub-contracted you to build a bridge for his latest project. The contract you signed was pretty strict, in fact, the penalty clause was absolutely frightening; if the bridge isn't completed on time you will be bankrupt, and that's no way to start off in business. On the other hand if everything goes according to plan your future is secure.

Yesterday, your supplier phoned to tell you that due to a nationwide shortage of materials the final delivery of sections will be delayed until tomorrow. The trouble is your time limit runs out this afternoon. You have six gaps in the bridge, and only one spare section. Here comes the Boss to inspect the bridge. Can you juggle the single section around quickly enough so that he won't notice the gaps?

The player selects 6 buttons to temporarily fill 1 of 6 gaps. The gaps are divided over 3 levels, and the boss will randomly try to walk across a platform from the right of the screen. The player must fill the correct gap before the boss walks across, or else he falls off the bridge. Each time the boss crosses he walks faster the next time. If the boss falls 3 times, it's game over.
