Britannica Word Search

Description
Britannica Word Search is a traditional word search puzzle with the addition of the Encyclopædia Britannica license. The player is presented with a grid of letters, a list of words and is tasked to locate the words on the grid, which can be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and forwards or backwards. A word is marked by clicking and dragging the mouse over its letters.
Before starting a game, the player must choose a category, a puzzle number and one of the following game modes:* Levels mode: timed game (45 seconds initially) with 3 lives. Each word found gives points and extra time. If time runs out, the player loses a life. If the player completes a puzzle within the time limit, they will advance to the next level.
-
Frenzy mode: timed game (15 seconds initially) with 3 lives. Each word found gives points and extra time. If time runs out, the player loses a life. If the puzzle is solved within the time limit, it gets re-scrambled and given a shorter time limit.
-
Timed mode: timed game (2 minutes), with extra points awarded for each second left on the timer
-
Relaxed mode: standard untimed game
Britannica Word Search does not offer different difficulty levels and all the grids are 18×18 letters.
